So, what happen to me lately?

Nothing but I have some unexpected customer/client.
(Should I called them customer/client? I did not expecting them!)

Why this happen?
The answer is because of my blog design…

I’ve use OPTION Theme by Justin Tadlock. Which is really a great theme.
But the original style sheet is quite lame, and I did not satisfied with it. So just like any other human, I want my appearance, uh, I mean my blog’s appearance to be beautifull (p/s: I like beautifull girl too :-D ).

So I browse around any premium theme and take them as a source of inspiration. Then I stubmle upon a site that sell a theme worth $100. Yes, it is a very beautifull theme, just like you see just now. This blog theme don’t you get it? ;-)

But from Justin’s words, that theme is a crappy clone of his Structure theme.

So I decide to mimic it!

So which one to believe? Well, I believe in Justin because of his portfolio and credibility. While I don’t even know the designer of those "Premium" theme. But, because I really love how it look like, I ends up modifying Justin’s Option theme into this.

Ah, back to my topic.

Actually he (The unexpected customer/client.) asked me and I aswer what he asked from me.

He ask about how to modify his theme that also using OPTION theme.

Then he asked wheter I can help him change his colour scheme.
Now, this come to an "err" to me. It’s not that I am not willing to help, but I afraid I don’t have time to do so.

Then I said, I’ll help where I can… Then he say he’ll "reward" me about $10.00.

Hahaha… Hey, give him a chance… He don’t know what are the real price for web design,(Well, for those who don’t know… It’s around $500.00 per design, even a simple design with simple scheme colour.)  he just a newbie and makes me remember during my earlier time, I also like that, don’t know about anything, he’s lucky he find me(Or I’m being cheated? Blah… I don’t think so… He doesn’t even know to use wordpress properly – Just like I do when I was a newbie.).

But then, actually I was willing "to help where I can" for no charge at all. The "reward" is somehow motivated me. So did I help him. Then I think I’m done.(Well I’m done actually). Then, he changed his mind and want to change again some design and function of the theme, don’t worry. He know how to appreciate people. He said he’ll buy me a "coffe". So he did. He increase the "reward" to $ 15.00. :-D

To make the story short. We ends up with him "rewarding" me $ 20.00. Enough for me to drink at San Francisco Coffe House. :-)

He pay me through paypal… Now that’s a money while blogging.

Other News From Me

Just a couple of hour ago, my hosting emailed me and said that I’ve used all of my account quota. Now I’m in dilemma. Whether to upgrade or move my blog into a new hosting.

Why I want to move?

  • The uptime of this server is bad.
  • It always down and make a headache
  • Luckily that my blog have not yet generate a decent income from the traffic.
  • But how if my website grow and make money from traffics.
  • Just imagine how much money I’ll lost!
  • The existing plan is expensive if compare to other hosting.

Then why I just don’t move out?

  • I register a domain there.
  • I don’t know how to move all my blog installation.
  • I’m afraid that something goes wrong and *Bham!* My blog gone.
  • I never do this.
  • I am an amateur blogger, remember? Just see my blog description.

What is your advice?
Move out?
