Submit Your Blog To Yahoo! Site Explorer
Yahoo! Site Explorer is the same with Google Webmaster Tools, the only different is that it is owned by Yahoo search engine.
In this article I will show you how to submit your blog, your blog sitemap to Yahoo!
Just follow these simple step by step instruction. ?It quite similar with Submit Your Blog To Google Webmaster Tools.
You must have Yahoo account. ?To have it, simple get ymail or yahoo mail. ?If you already have, login. ?If you already login then good.
Go to this link; https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/mysites
Put your blog url in the form which the button says Add My Site and then click that button.
Then you will need to verify that you are the owner. ?I recommending you to choose verify by html files. ?Download the files to your local hard drive and then upload to your blog main directory. ?After that click “Ready To Authenticate” and we’re done with authentication.
Submitting sitemap(s) to Yahoo! is quite different. ?Instead of sitemap, they use the key term “Feeds“. ?Under that website options, simply clicking your link at the front page of Site Explorer, and then click Feeds. You will see a form which have the button saying Add Feed. ?Put the following;
- sitemap.xml ==> and the click Add Feed.
- sitemap.xml.gz ==> and then click Add Feed.
- feed/ ==> and then click Add Feed.

What do you mean submitting more than once?
This is different directory, hence you get more wider coverage.
But if you ping the same post over and over again in short time, yes you will likely being tag as “SPAM”.

I don’t think it matters if you submit your website to Yahoo SiteExplorer more than once. It will not give you greater coverage or any other benefits. I lost access to my old Yahoo account. So I eventually resubmitted my websites and there was no change in traffic or rankings. SiteExplorer and Google Webmaster Tools are best used to diagnose your website for problems that could negatively affect rankings and indexing.

I wonder what are nowadays differences between results of promoting sites in Google, Yahoo and Bing. There surely are some, but are they huge, large, minimal? That is something that makes me think about it.
