Submit Your Blog To Google Webmaster Tools
Hello there, at this stage you should have a good looking stable blog. The next level is you want to pull as much organic traffic as you can. To get organic traffic, obviously your blog should be crawled by spiders from search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing.
To wait for your blog to be discovered naturally might take a long time. A month, if you are lucky. A year is the most natural period. But of course you don’t want to wait that long if you could make your blog discovered within the matter of a minute or two. Am I right?
So, we need to show up, registering ourself to Google, introduce our blog and invite their bots to crawl into our blog.
First, let’s head to Google webmaster tools.

If you don’t have Google account yet, you need to have one. If you do, you should login. If you have already login, then good. Let’s start.
Simply click the Add a site… button. Enter your domain name and click continue. Then a new page will appear. It will ask you to verify the ownership of this website. Choose Upload an html file for the best option. Follow the instruction, I bet they are very simple that even kids know how to do it.
If this done correctly, you are good to change other settings.
Do you remember the post Installing MUST HAVE Plugins ? If you haven’t read them, I recommending you to read them now first before proceed. There’s plugin that create xml sitemap. Submit your sitemap to Google in sitemap menu and make sure you submit both .xml and .xml.gz. .gz is “lighter” and Google bots like it.
Well… you done!
If you got any question(s), don’t hesitate to ask.
