Success Amateur Blogger | This is a Personal Blog of Mine
Most Powerful Blogging Platform : WordPress
There are too many content management system(cms) that we can use to build a blog, but there’s none like wordpress.
WordPress is a free open source blogging script and it have been evolved so fast that, yes we can call it cms.
Do not confuse with wordpress.com free blogging service. ?This is not what we are talking about. ?We are talking about wordpress script that wordpress.com use. ?To get this script and learn more about it, you can go to wordpress.org.
These are simple reason why I like wordpress and why I highly recommends it to you.
- User friendly.
Even the manual install is very easy that it can be done by a 12 years old kid!
The admin interface and the overall usage is very easy to use even for a 12 years old kid! - Search Engine Friendly.
Wordpress have built in pingging system and highly optimized structure that make search engine like google, yahoo and msn love it!
When search engine love your blog, there will be many visitors coming and reading your blog. ?The more visitor you have, the more it is easier for you to make money with your blog. - Very flexible.
Maybe not for you if you are not flexible. ?But you can hire a programmer to make it the way you want it. ?But of course there’s a limit also in wordpress, so don’t expect to much. - Too many beautiful free theme(design) available.
- Too many free plugin to extend the usability and function of your wordpress.
- Huge community that you can ask for help whenever you are in trouble with wordpress. ?You can ask me!
- Etc.
Again this is a summary of wordpress.
- It’s a script.
- Not wordpress.com free blogging service.
- It’s written in php.
- It needs mySQL database.
- It’s FREE to download from wordpress.org.
This blog is using wordpress.

I used wordpress as a free blog a while back and remembered it being quite easy to use. I’m sure their CMS is just as easy. I really think I’ll have to look into getting a good wordpress template and migrating some of my database driven sites over. Thanks for the reminder

It is interesting to see how wordpress has evolved over the years. Back when I had a blog it was onpar with blogspot. Since then Google bought blogspot and turned it into blogger, but didn’t really change the platform much. Meanwhile wordpress just keeps getting better and better. These days you can run a whole ecommerce store through wordpress. Good luck with that on blogger.

It helps that it is one of two popular blogging platforms. Most people would not have heard of any other blogging platforms.

Yes blogger & wordpress are really the only blogging platforms which get much use. People are either on one or the other. Still, wordpress has improved a lot over the years, while blogger has remained relatively the same.
