WordPress Tube is very similar to YouTube design.
But, it was built using WordPress api. In fact, it was a wordpress theme.

This theme is very suitable for you if you post a lot of videos.

Installation

Download WordPress Tube.
Extract it and upload the folder wodpresstube to your theme directory.

Usage

The thumbnail custom key is thumbnail (Case sensitive.).

The auto embed custom key is Video (Case sensitive.).

Using the `thumbnail` key

Insert thumbnail at the key section.
Insert the image url in the value section.

Using the `Video` key

Insert Video in the key section.
Insert the YouTube url in the value section.

How to find the YouTube url?

Copy the embed code from YouTube.
Find the src="http://" in the <param
We only need the url without the url variable. Remove the characters starting from &.
Example before removing the url variable.
http://www.youtube.com/v/Pu0Z81-m4x8&hl=en&fs=1
Example after removing the url variable.
http://www.youtube.com/v/Pu0Z81-m4x8

@Sherry, after login to your dashboard –> Settings –> Permalinks.

And choose custom structure.
Put this /%postname%/ in the field area and click save changes.

Note: Must have .htaccess permission set to 666.

Ok, let’s see this example.

This is what you put in the value field.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsX42iFYjro.

Actually this is not the one we want.

The one we want is the code from embde code.

See, this is the embed code,

< [object width="425" height="344">< [param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OsX42iFYjro&hl=en&fs=1">< [param name="allowFullScreen" value="true">< [embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OsX42iFYjro&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">

Now, find this code in the above.
< [embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OsX42iFYjro&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">

Take the url in the src="url"

http://www.youtube.com/v/OsX42iFYjro&hl=en&fs=1

and finally remove the parameter, hence the final result is

http://www.youtube.com/v/OsX42iFYjro

There, done.

Why we want to do it like this?

1. Less database query.
2. Valid xhtml flash code.
